Physiotherapy

For all your injury needs!!Our physiotherapists are experienced in treating all musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.
This includes such ailments as:- Back pain
- Neck pain
- Headaches
- Arthrits
- Growing pains
- Discomfort related to pregnancy

Sessions are 30 OR 60mins each. One on one with a therapist.
Predominantly hands-on approach with a focus on self directed treatment. (HENCE BEING PROACTIVE!!)
Rehabilitation
Fast track your way to optimal health!Qualified physiotherapists and exercise physiologists to assist in programs for longer term injuries and post surgery recovery.
Will involve some hands on work plus supervised gym programs and tailored home programs....we must be proactive in our rehabilitation (see hot topics).
Dry Needling (commonly referred to as Acupuncture)
Dry needling is the use of "acupuncture" needles that are inserted to a persons muscles, ligaments, joint capsule or nerve to reduce pain and restore function.
The biggest advantage of "Dry Needling" that it is a form treatment without causing that much pain to you. It is an amazingly effective treatment technique for all injuries from your head all the way down to your toes.
Trigger Point Therapy

What is a Trigger Point?- A trigger point (TP) is a section of muscle which has shortened/tightened due to overactivity.
- TP’s are present throughout the body and may be latent (no symptoms) or active.
- An active TP causes pain due to the muscle shortening. This may be local or referred pain.
- The shortened portion of muscle is unable to contract and hence strength is reduced.
- TP’s present as a palpable lump in a muscle.
How are Trigger Points Managed?
Trigger point release via:
- Massage
- Dry acupuncture needling (superficial and deep)
Time taken:
- 15-20 minutes hands on followed by 10-15 minutes guided stretching
Expectations:
- Some discomfort can be expected to achieve desired results

Use of swiss balls, therabands and other equipment to add to the challenge.
Initial musculoskeletal screening takes place to ensure program is individualised to your needs.
